D & D (Demolition and Destruction) - 2006/11/24 21:41 Frailty Tower

Heaven
Lone Trek
Sansha's Nation

Ships 23
3x Atron
3x Breacher
3x Slasher
4x Rifter
3x Stabber
3x Scythe
2x Cyclone
2x Scimitar

Locations 11
3x Echoes of Gloom Bay
4x Sansha's Scout Outpost
4x Veldspar

Starbase Structures 2
2x Junkyard Docks

News 16
4x Adaster's Disaster
4x Insurance Fraud
4x Martial Law
4x Remnant of Vak'Atioth

This deck is similar to the one I ran at SoCal GenCon, but it ran almost all little ships. I added a little more beef, along with the Junkyard Docks and the Echoes, afterwards as I felt that what was missing in the two loses I did suffer. I was running only eight locations, and there was times ISK was running short, even with the Frauds, and IMHO Echoes are fantastic! Any suggestions and/or comments will be welcomed.

Re:D & D (Demolition and Destruction) - 2006/11/25 11:04 I'd drop the scimitars and scythes for more 4x of other ships (particularly Breachers - these are too awesome).

Other than that, it's very similar to my deck from the Fanfest, although that's changed quite significantly now (Remnant of Vak'Atioth is such a tough card to run - it's now a sideboard card instead of a main deck card).

Re:D & D (Demolition and Destruction) - 2006/11/27 10:45 I'd have stabber down as a side-board card. Very few decks seem to be running big enough ships for you to want it in the main deck.

Scyth seems like an automatic four of. I'm not convinced by Scimitar but I've not tested with it.

I'd like to see the side-board your running with this.

You'll have problems with Caldari fleets saying docked until their Martial Law is played but you already know that

I disagree - 6 isk is a break point for many openings and 5 attack for 6 isk is stunning. As to not enough decks running big ships, two words spring to mind; Hired Enforcers In addition to which, Warp Scramble with the Stabber's damage is pretty awesome. Im generally hard pressed to run anything military based that doesn't include 4 Stabbers, although they get boarded out against Minmatar more often than not (Disaster > Stabber).

Scythe is cool but definitely not an auto include. 7 isk is expensive.

I've never found this to be much of a problem with Minmatar. If they're staying docked, they generally tend to lose their starbase pretty quickly.

Re:D & D (Demolition and Destruction) - 2006/11/27 12:28 I agree that 5 attack for 6 isk is impressive but I'm not convinced about their usefulness against Hired Enforcers. Hired Enforcers should never get played on a ship the stabber has targeted and it's really vulnerable to ambush.

The direct damage spells are great for surviving the early turns against agressive decks, after which I like having a Scythe to pick off an ambush frigates before going in for the kill. Four may be too many but it's incredibly card efficient and can take out mid-sized ships if you get two going.

ps Iron Warrior will get the martial law reference.

Re:D & D (Demolition and Destruction) - 2006/11/27 15:08 I've seen Iron Warrior win many a games early w/ a stabber and the 2 kamikazi ship (breacher i think) early game. Plus isn't the Stabber all about Insurance Fraud anyways? Blatherskite
