Angel Outlaw - 2008/01/04 01:20Angel Outlaw say "when a new region is put into play. Angel Outlaw may deal 1 damage to target ship in any region."
Question is can that damage be dealt even if the outlaw is in dock being assembled? The rules say when a ship is in dock it cannot use abilities unless stated otherwise. Is that stating otherwise? At first I thought no but look at serpentis bodyguard.
"When an enemy frigate comes into play. hasten Serpentis Bodyguards assembly by one turn."
thanks

Re:Angel Outlaw - 2008/01/04 05:26I would still say it doesn't state otherwise, whereas the serpentis bodyguard specifically talks about hastening assembly, which while it does not directly state this ability is only used is in dock being assembled, it does imply this condition.
But I think the Bodyguard probably should have a disclaimer something like "this ability only occurs when bodyguards is being assembled" or something like that, the implication should be enough to save on excessive wording on cards.
If we want to argue the point, perhaps the Bodyguards ability is broken and doesn't work.

Re:Angel Outlaw - 2008/01/04 11:51I don't see any correlation between the 2. Bodyguards ability clearly states it can work as it specifically mentions assembley. Outlaw does not mention assemble so can't use it's ability. We shall seed the stars with our scions and reap that harvest.
