Black Ops Command question - 2008/02/17 20:14I sorta searched beforehand to see if this had already been answered but didn't find anything.
Basically Black Ops Command, (a starbase structure) says "Discard a card at random: Black Ops Command deals 1 damage to target ship" Is that a one shot only? or can I discard 3 cards at random to deal 3 damage to a ship.
wondering cause if it's seperate I would just deal 1 and shields would recharge and I would deal 1 again etc...
If it's only one per phase it would just be useful to take out small ships and off the already damaged ones in combat damage-dealing. But it seems like it should do what I think. Discard your hand of say seven cards to deal 7 damage, allocated however you like.
Oh and can I use the ability durring any players turn or just my own?

Re:Black Ops Command question - 2008/02/17 22:08Executed abilities are played by you, as many times as you want. They all have a colon ‘:’ in their text. The price is stated first, then the colon, and then the ability’s effect.
So yes you can play it as many times as you like, as long as you can pay the cost (ie have another card to discard)
Also you can play any news and abilities at any time (when you have initiative)

Remember that shields don't recharge until the end of a game phase or battle step. So even though you might use the ability 3 times, discarding 1 card to deal 1 damage each time, as long as you do it all in the same phase it will still kill a ship with 3 shields.

Made Amarr, Minmatar, and Gallente decks. Tonight I might try a free-for-all.
