Re:25K GenCon Tourney - 2007/07/28 01:28 agreed. some more information would be nice, im finding it hard to navagate the gencon web site for info about the tourny. I qualified about a month ago but my profile doesnt show it nor have I gotten any emails confirming my qualification.

I wont be getting to Indy till friday morning. Would hate to go through all the trouble and paying for a room just to find out the tourny is full and theres no record of my qualification.

Hopefully the T-shirt is all I need to garantee my spot

Per Zachary, you do need to grab an event ticket (or 4 generic tickets) even for those who qualified. I believe the tournament is limited to 128 people (might be expanded if a larger space is available?), and the order in which people can register is, I believe, Prequals first, event ticket holders second, generic holders last.

Re:25K GenCon Tourney - 2007/08/20 03:09 Thought you'd be interested: Everyone who attended received prize money of some level. Tres cool! I was judging tournaments most of the weekend but was allowed to play in the championship (though I was a designated Player Judge, and continued doing rulings while I was not in game - my deck generally wins fast or loses fast).

I didn't make the top cut, I came in at 11th... I won 3, my deck lost once (no locations, mulligan 7, draw only a Forgotten Paradise... twice!), and lost once to a deck uniquely designed to foil mine (that deck did make the cut, but didn't win the day). Who expects a deadhead draw twice in the same match? Ah well, I'll be back next year to challenge again!

Thanks to CCP/White Wolf for a great time!
