Open is usually very fast and you have loads of news to back up your ship when taking and holding regions or when you go for the final blow. The Empiric Tower has basicly the same effect as a Central Fleet Command only that you don't waste slots in your deck and don't have to rely on your luck getting it.

Also, Punishers are way too slow for a speed deck. Not sure off the top of my head what I'd replace them with, though.
Like any Hired Enforcers deck though, I'm liable to say 'meh' to the entire deck since it's basically a Hired Enforcers deck no matter what way you look at it.
Since I've got home I've essentially played against nothing but HE decks since they're going to be the most popular deck hands down, and I'm well and truly confident in battering them left right and centre now

Re:Fast Military Deck - 2006/11/27 10:56I'm a big fan of Augurors with the appropriate tower. The extra couple of points of attack from the patrol can make all the difference.
That said destroyers are essential atm so I'd probably drop the Punishers and run both main deck. If you need to sideboard the holder tower in (against fast decks) then you might want to switch the Augurors for an additonal destroyer at the same time.
It's really hard to judge decks without seeing the side-board and having some idea what cards get switched against each race.
