Almost Speed Ver 2.0 - 2006/11/17 04:27 Holding Tower

Ginnungap
Molden Heath
Dam Torsad

x4 Juggernaut Platform

x2 Arkonor
x4 Slave Mines
x4 Interstellar Trade Post
x4 Veldespar

x4 Impariors
x4 Tormentors
x4 Crucifiers
x4 Punisher
x4 Gaurdian
x4 Omen

x2 Hired Enforcers
x4 Stubborn Mechaniks
x4 Mind Clash

Thinking about trading my HE for Subsidized Industries. I also deffinately want to take out the Omens for Aurgorors but I only own 1. Will post a side deck soon. Probably will be filled with some SI and the destroy/return news card. Can't think of the name off the top of my head. Also probably will thow in the Celestis and the one that takes care of news. Well, off to bed, can't think straight anymore.
During an argument about the color of Amarr:
The Executioner does NOT look like a yellow chicken. It looks more like a....horseshoe crab. ~JP (Local gamer)

No Amarr (or Gallente) military deck should ever not run 4x HE, they're one of the strongest cards in the game atm.

I'm not sure about the 'splash' mining ISK scheme, but it looks like it could work. It's highly risky, really, but if anyone can hold multiple regions well, Amarr can. And Dam Torsad is always good for that stuff. I'd throw in a single Sisters Of Eve, Merc Base or Ancestral Homeland there though for defence purposes. They rule with DT.

Also, dont you find Jugg/Mind Clash a bit combo-ey? If you're going for extra shipless defense, I'd replace them with EMP Minefields and free yourself up 4 card slots.

Your ship lineup is missing many really tough and fast ships, you have both Guardian and Omen - I always try to limit myself to one assembly 2 shiptype if possible to speed things up. Since Guardians rule, I'd drop the Omens for Coercers. Also if you've freed up a couple of extra spots, I'd say you could do with a couple more cheap, combatworthy ships (Impairors I'm not so sure are a good idea). I'd use Inquisitors, or splash Gallente for Atrons (fit with the Amarr defensive-style ship theme and are downright awesome).

Finally, if you remove Inquisitors, I'd give some thought to trying out Kyonoke Pit. It's awesome blitz income with a Tormentor and a Slave Mine (giving 12 income with a Tormentor on it).

Re:Almost Speed Ver 2.0 - 2006/11/18 17:30 Thank you for the suggestion on the Coercers. I have been looking at that card for a while and just haven't put it in yet. I had EMPs in my deck before and just pulled cause I didn't have enough. I only own 2 HE so I will just swap them for 2 Subsidized till I get more. Also really like the sisters of eve idea. Deffinatel will have to try that one. Also didn't understand the last bit about "the Inquistors". I think you were refering to an Outer Region and just used the wrong word. If I replaced anything it would be Molden Heath. Ginnungap prevents location control pretty well. During an argument about the color of Amarr:

Re:Almost Speed Ver 2.0 - 2006/11/20 08:04 Woops, I meant Impairors. Obviously, running Kyonoke Pit + Impairors is bad, because they can't mine there due to lack of shields.

Re:Almost Speed Ver 2.0 - 2006/11/23 05:48 Had some major revisions to the deck:

Emperic Tower: Never upgraded Holder

-Molden Heath
+Cloud Ring
Played this once, seemed to work pretty nice.

-Omen
+Coercer
Nice trade off. Thanks again for the reassurance.

-Juggurnaut
+EMP
Again, Nice suggestion. Works a lot better.

-Mind Clash
+ 1-Sisters of Eve, 3 Subsidized Industries
Not like the SI very much. Thinking about replacing them with something, not sure what. Might be a good place to throw my Appoc, Armagedon, Aurgoror, and/or Arbitrator. Not sure though.

Re:Almost Speed Ver 2.0 - 2006/11/23 06:07 I wouldn't recommend to play a card only once unless you can fetch it, when you need it.

I would play one Remote Research Facility as well, just so you can discard Arkonor and other useless locations from your hand to bring them cheap into the game with Ginnungagap. Plus you can fetch the Remote Research Facility when you need it or if you draw it it is not to expensive to play neither.

Re:Almost Speed Ver 2.0 - 2006/11/27 00:49 If you have them...a few Network Access might do the trick instead of SI. They are a little more proactive as they can really hurt your opponents ability to play news..plus gain u Isk. Just a thought. Blatherskite

Re:Almost Speed Ver 2.0 - 2006/11/27 13:23 All righty, thanks for the network access advice. Definately doing that. I finally got 3 bad news, what should I take out for the room? During an argument about the color of Amarr:

Re:Almost Speed Ver 2.0 - 2006/11/27 15:00 No Problem Matiez. I wouldn't play Bad News and Network access though..Bad News will kill your Network. The card draw is nice, but one or the other i think. Me? I would stick w/ Network.
BTW to bad you couldn't make the tournament.
