x3 Damage Control x4 Armageddon Project x4 Forsaken Ruins x4 Day of Retribution
Haven't Played it yet, but it looks like it might work. Thinking about trading the Oneiros with 2 Sup. Iterons. Any suggestions?During an argument about the color of Amarr: The Executioner does NOT look like a yellow chicken. It looks more like a....horseshoe crab. ~JP (Local gamer)

Re:Galante Control - 2006/11/23 22:10If you can explain me why you play tourist resort ^^
Maybe I am wrong, or I miss something, but it seems for me that Tourist Resort is a quite bad card...
I would prefer Sansha's Outpost, or Omber.

Re:Galante Control - 2006/11/23 23:35Well, the only thing I would really comment on, is the very defensive nature the deck seems to have. Your deck is focusing on making it harder for decks to gain control of any outer regions. The only problem here is, your offensive side is a little low. Cards like forsaken ruins could really hurt the deck, as it's income is based on trading. If you read the Iteron deck thread, you can see some of the pros/cons of using them. While both of those things might be inconsequential to your overall strategy, it's something you might want to look at.

Re:Galante Control - 2006/11/24 07:16I agree with the other guys - you dont have enough of a way to win.
You have 16 income including Adv Shipywards before you include all of your trading. That's a little too much as your deck isn't really ISK heavy.
If you want to continue the Tourist Resort theme (which can work well), I'd drop the Star Chart Enterprises for Sansha Scout Outposts. Your regions are all wrong for a Tourist Resort/Trading scheme; drop Cloud Ring for Sansha's Nation which you can play and then not take. Also desirable would be swapping Stain for Insmother, to play your traders into early. Thirdly, you want something like maybe Scalding Pass that is tough for people to attack and that will boost your resorts also.
Iteron is a very weak card, and it's there that you should look to add some offence to your deck. I'd go with 3x Brutix, switch your tower to Enthrallment, which makes for an excellent game-ender. You can keep the Oneiroses in there, but with Brutixes added you'd probably want to remove the Celestis (too many assembly 2 ships = bad) and replace it with something more quick such as Condor or Incursus.
You could afford to lose some cards from your overall cash-scheme to increase the number of control cards you have, I think, but you could also afford to lose Day of Retribution. It doesnt work too well in this deck. Veterans Premature Retirement x4 should be an auto-include really, especially since you're playing the resorts.
If you can fit it in too, a single Superior Iteron can be a great boom to an Inf Iteron based deck.

Re:Galante Control - 2006/11/25 04:49Wow, this was a really bad deck. Made some huge revisions. Wasn't looking for a trading scheme. I took out all the Iterons and put in different ships. I was looking for something a bit more combat heavy. I need to get more of my bigger ships. I have a good slew of ships now and I think it might work a bit better. Will post the full revision as soon as I get my deck back home.During an argument about the color of Amarr: The Executioner does NOT look like a yellow chicken. Re:Galante Control - 2006/11/27 00:35I've been messing around with using Star Chart Enterprises and Scordite. Since the Star Chart is almost useless turn 3. It doesn't seem to work in blitz as it's to easy to get screwed w/only the scordite, but in a larger location spread it seems to work well.Blatherskite Caldari Propagandist

Re:Galante Control - 2007/01/15 01:52Tourist Resort is a remarkably good location, if you play to it. Unlike the cards in your market, you can rely on your regions being available early.
Turn 1: Gain 2 ISK, play Tourist Resort and Ginnungagap Turn 2: Gain 4 ISK, play Sansha's Nation and Serpentis Prime Turn: 3 Gain 6 ISK, and starting building Tristans and 6 cost cruisers at a rate of one per turn, until your opponent dies.
None of this mining or trading stuff, just speed. If you take too long to reach your set up, you are just asking to be eliminated.
