Thrasher ability during the battle phase - 2007/01/06 14:34Given that if a Thrasher warps into an opposing region it can't use it ability in the management phase when in the battle phase can it use it or because it's not given a specific point on the card is it unable to use it's ability at all?We shall seed the stars with our scions and reap that harvest.

Re:Thrasher ability during the battle phase - 2007/01/07 15:14The Thrasher's ability can be used during any step of the battle phase, but you'll want to activate it during the begin battle step for the majority of combats. Therefore, after all of the warps are declared/executed but before the end of the management phase, the Thrasher could use it's ability against legal targets in it's region
Sorry, no can do:
If you warp a ship into an enemy controlled region, your ship has attacked that region and cannot execute any of its abilities, activate any of its commands, or warp again during this management phase.
So please tell me. WHEN player is able to use Thrasher ability. Not in management phase because youre not in region with enemies. Not in battle phase because of up rule. And if in battle phase, in which part, because if you can use it any part and have lets say 20 ISK you can kill with it (in the beginning of the battle) a small fleet of frigates... without giving them a chance to open fire.
It would be logic if you could use this ability in lets say 4th phase (damage dealing)
Can anyone make one clear statement? Beacuse there isnt any rule on the card that negates rulebook. And rulebook rule is above.

And yes, you can take out a whole fleet of frigates with enough ISK. And given the right circumstances (upgraded frailty tower and isurance fraud) you only need 2 ISK to take out an infinite number of frigates. I used this tactics agains my brother yesterday, it was very fun... though he disagrea

If it attacks in the management phase it cannot use it's abilities again....not until the battle phase, at which point it can use it's ability during any step, as said, using it during the begin battle step is generally the most effective against anything except kamakazi ships.
Also note you can use it in your management phase on the defense. So if enemy ships warp to you you can activate it killing them before the battle even starts.
