After the rush of military activity following the fall of New Genesis, there was a lull in the fighting. Diplomats and ambassador's were dispatched to halt the bloodshed. For a time their efforts seem to be working, and then it happened.
Sensitive and highly secret documents vanished from military and corporate installations across New Eden, only to show up in the hands of their enemies. Within hours fleets were once again mobilised and dispatched to their neighbour's borders. Generals and CEO's determined that the galaxy burn before their secret objectives be revealed.
Out in the black, someone smiled. Everything was falling into place, according to plan. When the time was right, it would be all too easy...
As a playgroup we don't like the idea of looking through opponent's decks before you play them. Just seems wrong somehow. I'm used to Magic where if you want to play a sideboard/sidedeck, it comes into effect between games but you never get to see whats in an opponent's deck other than what gets played.http://www.gamers.uk.net

Another most-excellent blurb!! Really like the flavour, especially the "out in the black" part - very Firefly indeed ============================ "There is always Hope...." - Elessar Telcontar ============================

Couple of thoughts: 1) The pre-match viewing of decks has been dropped, see the updated Tourney Rules and note the conspicuous absence... 2) Unless your tourneys conform to the proscribed format laid out by CCP then it's doubtful that your tourneys will be considered as "Sanctioned". While this might be less of a big deal now, when the player database gets up and running, your games / wins wont be counted when working oput your ELO rating.============================ "There is always Hope...." - Elessar Telcontar ============================

I am aware that it has been dropped which is a good thing IMO. As for your second point, you are right, but until we reach the point where we have to conform we'll go our way. Once it's set up, we'll run with it.http://www.gamers.uk.net

2. We normally keep everyone and we do have a little bit of a time constraint, so it will be a case of totalled wins unless there is a draw for that. Unfortunately my Sunday evenings are fully packed but we might be able to arrange something.
3. One hour rounds.
4. We play in the shop. We can support roughly 12-14 players tops, which is a fair turn out for a shop IMO.http://www.gamers.uk.net

Re:The Oncoming Storm (Cambridgeshire UK March 11t - 2007/03/15 23:31Captain Torval stood upon the bridge of the cruiser Perihelion, gazing out into space. Between his ship and the corporations starbase was the drifing wreakage of ships, both enemy and allied. His aide stepped up to his side holding out a clipboard for his inspection. "The repairs to our engines and hull should be complete within twelve hours, sir. The engineering staff have requested a days shore leave after all is in working order." "Of course. Clear it all with the corporation first though. They might not want a bunch of drunken civilians on board about now." His aide saluted and turned to leave but Torval placed his arm out to stop the man leaving. "You know, Adris, if I didn't know better I would say someone out there wants us at war. World against world and corporation against corporation. I think that someone out there wants us weakened and war-weary." "Perhaps sir. But its not in our orders to question corporation policy." Torval released the man to go about his duties, folded his arms behind his back and started back out into space.
To be continued...

The event was dominated by Galante decks, so it was no surprise that the Galante won the day. There were a couple good Minmartar and Armarr decks as well.
