Caldari Rush Deck - 2007/03/17 12:13 This deck main idea is to win fast in early - mid game or lose to superior ships.

Tower:
Precognition Tower

Cheap to upgrade and just perfect to prepare for something that could stop the rush.

Regions:
- Cloud Ring
Cheap, early region to generate fast income. If I start with a Velator it will be the first region to play. After 2-3 turns abandoned.

- Khanid Kindom
Slows enemy down by denying mining, trading and ambush.

- Society of Conscious Thought
If I can hold it for some turns should give me enough draw to build up a large fleet.

Locations:
2* Veldspar
4* Star Chart Enterprises
4* Scordite
1* Gloom Bay
1* Remote Research Facility
12 Total

News:
4* Information at a cost
1* Martial Law
2* Mind Control
2* Power Shortage
2* Stubborn Mechanic
11 Total

Structures:
3* Advanced Shipyard
1* Astronautical Laboratories
2* The Night Shift Sector
2* Thukker Pirate Haven
8 Total

Ships:
4* Condor
4* Slasher
3* Velator
3* Heron
3* Merlin
2* Cormorant
2* Basilisk
21 Total

Locations have the hyper speed Scordite/Charts combo.
Gloom Bay could be used for some quick draw and Remote Facility is there to swap cards if too many locations/unwanted news/Velators are drawn.

The news are there to help in delivering the strike by stopping news, removing structures and increasing shields after the ships have been targeted.
Information helps quickly build fleet of cheap ships and get all the needed cards.

Structures should speed up the fleet building.
Astro. Lab. has the potential to win the game if enough ships of the same type are drawn (but since I don't count on it that much there is only one copy of it).

Pirate Haven is there for testing, could help stall my opponent in first turns if it doesn't work I will put some more ships instead.

Ships are cheap and with good attack. They should overrun opponents base as quickly as possible (assuming I get a good draw from Information and/or Society).
Herons are there to disable the Ambush commands.
The Basilisks provides a B plan if I cannot destroy my opponent early.

What do you think?
Does it stand a chance or will it be stopped and crushed as the enemy builds a better force?

Still considering dropping the Haven and Veldpsars for 4 Incursus.

Any sugestions?
Haven't tested it yet.

Re:Caldari Rush Deck - 2007/03/18 12:19 My experience is that Pirate Heaven is rather difficult to use. I've never been able to use it's effect more than twice per game. After that the defender had enough ships to make it unlucrative.

The concept of the deck is very nice. But I'm not experienced enough to judge it's potential effectiveness...
