Re:Full Control - 2007/03/29 17:44You don't have nearly enough power to defend your starbase here: you'll likely get creamed by the frigate rush, even if you mulligan for Sentinel Hive and get it out ASAP. Metropolis could help you out in this regard, as you can choke their ISK early on to prevent them bypassing it, and the ability to hold regions is certainly there, at least until the big boys come along. I'd concentrate on only one of the alternate wins if I were you, not both.
I think the deck needs speeding up - just look at the amount of turns it's going to take you to get Stain out and get it occupied. Even in a best case scenario, it's 3 turns away, and with an unfavourable draw even more. Your opponents will likely have thrown one or two regions of their own down by then. And while I've made one or two decks based on Stain in the past, they're very all or nothing. You have one or two shaky turns where you've put Stain out and are trying to get it properly reinforced where your opponent has a real chance to ruin your whole game plan. When you test this deck out, make it go second every time; if it does well then, it's pretty solid. When you rely on getting a certain region out ASAP, whether you get first or second turn makes a much bigger difference than with other decks.
All that said (and hopefully it's helpful), I do think Monopoly Tower is the best of the alternate win conditions to go for, and this deck has the right kind of idea in how to go for it even if it needs a bit of tweaking!
