Great work on the site! - 2006/10/29 23:17It's been a long wait but it's great to finally see it up and running
Nice site
One questions the questions and answers link talks about the player database as did the old placeholder site.. but where does one sign up for it?

It's possibly still under construction, or it might be listed as something in our profiles. I haven't found it yet myself either, but maybe it's already there?

Re:Great work on the site! - 2006/10/30 04:45Yes well worth the wait. I especially like how much of the content keeps to the CCG site and does not automatically direct to the eve-online site until you dig deeper. No red headed stepchildren here!
I think the Eve fiction stories such as Theodicy, Ruthless, and the others should be hosted here as well. A CCG needs the rich background like Eve has, and the easier it is for new players to find it (on the CCG site), the better.

Re:Great work on the site! - 2006/10/30 08:02Elements of the site are still under construction and improvements will be made in the coming weeks.
The player database is available by clicking on the 'Search Profile' link under the User Menu to the right. You can use the Profiles to link up with other players, make connections and even find out what events that player is planning on attending.kieron Community Manager, EVE Online: Revelations (On temp loan to EVE: The Second Genesis)

I really love the website, the user menu options are cool and I look forward to seeing the features that are still pending be implemented!

Ok but it also states we'll get a special region card and such sent to us, and our profiles on this site don't have our full addresses? how does that work?

Ok but it also states we'll get a special region card and such sent to us, and our profiles on this site don't have our full addresses? how does that work? The offer of a special Outer Region 'promotional' card is being extended to participants in the regional demonstration program, not to all users who register on the forum. I don't have that information, but I will point this out to AgentZero so he can post an update.kieron Community Manager, EVE Online: Revelations (On temp loan to EVE: The Second Genesis)

As for the database, it's part of the next step. It's going to be a list of players seperate from, but tied to, the forum accounts. It will be totally free to sign up for, and you'll be able to tie it to your forum account. The database will initially be populated with players who signed up at the various cons we've been at, but anyone can sign themselves up after that. When you sign up you'll be assigned a player ID number, which will be used to track event participation and overall rankings.Zack Walters EVE: The Second Genesis Organized Play Coordinator White Wolf | CCP North America
