ISK-How do you track it? - 2006/11/06 05:21 The ISK with the starters seems kinda lame. Is there another generally accepted way to keep track such as a few d20's or colored beads representing various amounts?

Re:ISK-How do you track it? - 2006/11/06 09:10 We use the counters. Theyre awesome. I have about 6 boxes worth in a deck case.

In the only game where we ran out of counters, I used £10 and £20 notes to represent 100 and 200 ISK respectively

The problem with dice is that dice get knocked over. I really don't like dice.

Re:ISK-How do you track it? - 2006/11/06 15:42 I have to agree with Calmdown.

The "colored beads equal different amounts" thing has been used by some of my opponents in other games, but they invariably screw up at some point and count a 1 as a 5 or vice-versa. (sarcasm)I'm sure they weren't cheating, but just had a bad memory... (/sarcasm)

Re:ISK-How do you track it? - 2006/11/09 16:07 I love useing full weight poker chips. They are easy to handle and count and are so satisfying to play with and throw around.

Re:ISK-How do you track it? - 2006/11/09 17:05 Since I play a lot of D&D and stuff like that, I use two ten-sided dice. This way there's only two pieces being used and the mess is cut down.

Re:ISK-How do you track it? - 2006/11/11 09:43 I normally use the counters supplied with the game. But when I expect to run short, I'll switch to plain old pencil and paper. I have also seen calculators used, since it makes gaining and spending easy to track. A basic 4-function will work.

Re:ISK-How do you track it? - 2006/11/11 16:59 The new way of doing it like all the cool kids: using real Icelandic ISK coins!(ISK is the currency of Iceland for those that dont know).

Re:ISK-How do you track it? - 2006/11/13 21:27 Oh man. So many of you guys hit me up for ISK coins at Fan Fest...but they do work well. As soon as I can get it past the guys who control the purse strings, I want to get some ISK poker chips made up. If you can use them for poker, they're not really nerdy, right? Zack Walters

Re:ISK-How do you track it? - 2006/11/13 22:07 I was wondering why the people in Iceland named their currency after the one in EVE?

Zach, id buy chips like that but u MUST get them done all stylish, like ... with one of those wee metal assassin-esque carry cases. Schmooooove.

OMGWTFPOKER!!!
I would geek into that in an instant as long as they are reasonably priced
How can I spend all my money on EVE CCG if I have to spend it on ISK Chips?
