So then, is the name "Eve The Second Genesis" unique to the CCG only, or is it also a name used to refer to Eve Online or the Eve universe? Or is it the name that sets the CCG apart from Eve online?
In other words, If I was to run into some knowledgeable Eve online players and say "I play Eve the Second Genesis", should they know I mean a card game or will they say "You mean Eve online or the CCG?"

Re:EVE-The Second Genesis, what is this game called - 2006/11/06 07:35'EVE: The Second Genesis' was the original name of the MMO when it released. 'EVE-Online' was always a short name for it. After the game's first expansion, 'Exodus', the subtitle "The Second Genesis" was dropped.
There aren't very many players around that would still remember the MMO as 'EVE: The Second Genesis' since it didn't become as widely popular until after the name changed.
If you were to mention that "I play EVE: The Second Genesis" just about anyone familiar with the card game would know what you mean.

Re:EVE-The Second Genesis, what is this game called - 2006/11/06 08:29I tend to jump between EVE:TSG and Eve CCG depending on whether I'm talking to someone who plays the CCG or someone who doesn't respectively.
I'm not old enough (eve wise) to remember the game being called The Second Genesis, I didn't know that. Good trivia
