Tourney Rules confusion... - 2007/06/22 09:44Having not played at an ESG tourney before, and remembering ALL the heated debate about tourney rules in the past (side-decking, 'best-of-3' vs 'best-of-1' etc) I decided to check the updated version.
I'm a bit confused (again... my persistent state! ) about the contents of the side-deck. I remember way back that you could do swapsies with regions and your Tower... I cant find any mention of it though and was wondering if this had been superceded. If not then is it tourney legal to put alternative regions / towers in your standard 13 card side deck?
Also - you can only swap in from your side-deck AFTER the first round of a match, correct?
'Twas all so long ago that my memory fails me...

Before each game except the first game of a match, players receive four minutes to swap cards between their markets and side decks on a one to one card basis. After each match, they must rearrange their market and side deck to their original state.

Re:Tourney Rules confusion... - 2007/06/22 11:03Cheers Ice... I had been looking at tourney decklists that were packing 6 regions etc. It's obvious to me now that these were from before the rules update.

Re:Tourney Rules confusion... - 2007/06/22 13:58Guess you are busy building a deck for the Game07 you seem to be going to for your first tournament? Usually I would say poke me on IRC and we can check your deck on OCTGN, but sadly I won't be home before midnight today... I have two goods decks that are a nice test (one deck got 1st place on a small tournament and the other got 2nd on one of the qualifier events, so they aren't too bad I think).
Good luck and I am looking forward to some reports of that event
