Lead CCG Game Designer on EVE TV this week - 2007/07/30 13:09This week EVE TV will be having yet another member of the CCP Dev Team in studio, and we need your questions. Following from the great success of Jenga last time, we're going to see if Petur Thorarinsson can beat the previous record set by EVE's Lead Game Designer Hammerhead. The record stands at Zero.
Peter is the Lead Game Designer for the EVE CCG, so if you have any questions related to that, what life is like in Atlanta, or you have a request for the RöXöR Frontman for Fanfest, post 'em below

Re:Lead CCG Game Designer on EVE TV this week - 2007/07/30 13:23When planning for EVE how far ahead are you thinking and will the various expansions follow certain concept arcs or just be individual expansions?
Is there any plans to introduce some long term tournament plans to help encourage new players to start playing and give experienced players something to aim for?We shall seed the stars with our scions and reap that harvest.

what can the european players expect for the next years in form of bigger tournaments? edit: and i mean central europe, although iceland seems to be nice, it is very expensive to travel to compared to London, Berlin, Paris, ...
will old cards be rereleased in future core editions (like MtG)? on that matter, will there be new core editions at all?
when will Zachery get a raise?

Re:Lead CCG Game Designer on EVE TV this week - 2007/07/31 00:09Does CCP/WW plan on promoting the game further outside the US/Europe population centers? (in the form of tournaments and the like)

Tis a long-suspected industry secret. It's why when you open a pack of a CCG that has a particularly good chemical formula, all the other players in the area cluster around to "see what cards you got." It's also why games with frequent expansions sell better overall - less time for the addiction to wear off. -Ryuteki, Owner of the Rules! Here's another question for the pile: Will cards unique to the CCG be replicated in the online game, e.g. Emergency shield generators. We shall seed the stars with our scions and reap that harvest.
