Just bought the game like 2 weeks ago and played some games with friends with the standard decks, now I made my own and wanted to know if it's any good and maybe get some improvements on it ^^

Now im thinking of leaving the sentries out and trading the 2 x hedbergite for an addition 2x plag, since ive got no mining ships in.

_ First of all : 52 cards max ! (some deck could have more, not yours)
_ Second point : no fun cards ! (you have one objective, kill !)
_ At the third : balance and synergy !
So, see the details now :
Your objective is to kill (and not to be killed), you have different ways :
Short game win (be faster than your opponent) : be very fast -> cheap ressources doing lot (interstellar TP, Sansha's SO, Moon Harvester...), cheap offensive ships (with kamikaze for ex.), very few mid or big ships, few structures, few but effectives news (4 Adaster' D, 2 Remnant, 2 Mind Ctrl could be enough), Liberty Tower (Frailty Tower eventually), 3 cheapest outer regions (to use with Interstellar TP or Echoes AG The idea is to kill fast with ship damage or kamikaze directly on the opp. base. Direct damage is for eliminate opp. defence (ambushing ship for example)
Middle or late game win (less offensive but as much efficient and less subject to false starts) : contain and slow down opposition -> Intermediary ressources (Tourist R + By the Emperor Decree + cheapest Outer regions Combo or 1 ISK miners or Scordite + Star Chart E Combo), Ambush ships, mid-game ships (like Scythes, Thrashers or Stabbers), structures for defence or/and card advantage, control and ship/isk-interdiction news, Frailty Tower The idea is to prepare scythes/thrashers or big ship arrival. You have to slow down your opp. by discard, big threat elimination, isk control, and fortress-ambush defence.
Now let's see your deck : To get off : Metropolis (can be a paradise for your opponent), Day of Retribution (you already have enough direct damage), others 2 to 4 news (are less slots for ships), expensive ships (you have to much, Bellicoses are too difficult to use well here), 3 to 4 structures (are less slots for ships II), the Outer regions ressources (responsive of false starts) To get in : more and more cheap ships (Breachers, Slashers, Bursts...), Scythes (my favorite Minmatar ship !), good solid cheap homebase-playable ressources

Re:First Minmatar Deck setup - 2007/08/25 12:21I think many others stategies can be cool with Minmatar. I'm waiting for the Exiled expansion to work on a card/ressource-interdiction new deck. A classic Metropolis/Tierijev Pocket/Arkonor-mining deck could work, I guess
