Hakim Stormare - 2007/08/29 11:21Hakim Stormare (#116 - The Exiled) AGENT Whenever an enemy ship warps to or from dock, its controller must pay 1 isk if able.
PILOT If Hakim Stormare's ship is destroyed, you may put it on top of your market instead of placing it on the scrapheap.
TANKING 1 (This ship gains -1 attack and +1 shield.)
Just to clarify about this characters' Agent ability: if the opposing controller has isk he must spend 1 to warp ships into and out of dock but if she has no isk then can still warp into and out of dock but for free. Seems a weird ability to me.We shall seed the stars with our scions and reap that harvest.

Re:Hakim Stormare - 2007/08/29 15:31THe design (I assume) is to just bleed isk, but not have one card lock down all ships with a warp disruption effect (in essence). So its just to keep the tank dry, not really to prevent ships from warping.

Re:Hakim Stormare - 2007/08/29 17:46Well, even if you couldn't do it without paying, it's not a complete warp scramble, since it only affects moving in and out of dock.
The most notable use I can see for it is adding a 1 ISK surcharge to all assembled ships the first time you undock them. That's probably why it's written the way it is - otherwise, this guy combined with an ISK choke scheme could prevent you from ever getting ships into play.

Re:Hakim Stormare - 2007/08/30 10:08It certainly has tactical uses as it stands. I can see it comboing well with EMP Minefield. Be interesting to see it in play. I would expect players to use the agent ability at the start of the game and then when a decent ship turns up then to go to pilot mode.We shall seed the stars with our scions and reap that harvest.

Re:Hakim Stormare - 2007/08/30 12:11He is a nice little anti-Ibis shield pump. Or at least a little bit of a deterrent if they don't want to loose ISK.

Re:Hakim Stormare - 2007/08/30 12:16I find agents/pilotes the most interesting new feature in Exiled. But why is there only one agent not afiliated with the pirate factions? And an Amarr at that!
Counting them gives 3 agents for each pirate faction exept Blood raiders with only 2... Makes me think the Amarr one is a typo and should have been Blood Raider.
Any way, it would have been nice to have some agents not afiliated with the pirate factions.

I'd put money on getting some in the next expansion.
The Create A Card (menu option on the left) is a great way to nudge the designers in the direction you want to see the game take. Rumour has it, that's where they got the Exiled mechanic from...

Yeah, apparently some bloke claimed credit for it at Gencon
...I too wonder if the Amarr character is a misprint. Though the flavor of her card and her artwork doesn't seem that pirate-like... *hrmmmm*
*edit: Notice the new Amarr battleship isn't a Blood Raider either! Hrrrmmm.... seems more intentional now...

Oh I love this "create a card" menu. I hope these cards really are read by someone *ggg*

Re:Hakim Stormare - 2007/09/05 14:08Errata already being planned a week after release!!
While i can understand that certain things will get by the playtesters (and i'm sure there were a lot of errors they found that we never saw), perhaps we could provide a panel of proofreaders (with NDA's of course)?
Just trawl the forums for the pickiest posts and add them to the list (i doubt there are more than 4 names - and yes, mine is one of them, ask Linor (www.eve-foiled.com) ;p)
