Okay, WHERE is my dock? - 2007/08/30 16:15When playing in past Eve tournaments, I often ran into decks running Cormorant. And when those Cormorants warped into my home region, everyone always insisted that they get +1/+1 for each frigate in my dock, even those being assembled. Sure, I was fine with that, but with the printing of this new card, Kaikka Peunato, I find myself a bit confused:
Kaikka Peunato Character > Gurisatas 1 ISK, Clone: 1 Agent: When your home region is attacked, you may hasten the assembly of one friendly ship by one turn. If it becomes fully assembled, you may warp it into your home region. Pilot: When Kaikka Peunato's ship deals damage to a starbase which has a current shield value higher than its printed shield value, the ship deals 1 more damage to it.
-his agent ability implies to me that the home region is a separate region from your dock. Am I reading this wrong? Were people playing Cormorant wrong? Or am I just being silly and missing something obvious?

Much as I'd like to say you're just being silly...
Your dock and assembly are not considered to be in any region, so people were (and I'm sure many still are) playing the Cormorant wrong.
This is important for Terrorism too (which does damage to all ships in your home region).

Re:Okay, WHERE is my dock? - 2007/08/30 16:22Your Dock is different from your Home Region. Ships in one don't count as being in the other, and you must perform a Move a Ship action to move between them (or some other ability which allows you to warp).

1.1 Docked ships do not count as being in your home region.
Note that this is also clearly stated (under Card Types > Ships) in the Exiled rulebook.-Ryuteki, Owner of the Rules! We're playing Monday evenings in IL, see www.games-plus.com for the address or email me at ryuteki AT gmail DOT com.
