Re:Question on Racial Affinity - 2007/09/04 10:53That ship has bounty when controlled by caldari or amarr. So this is a malus for that card, all factions can use it, but it is not as good for amarr/caldari as for minmatar/gallenteNothing is as simple as it looks.

You may have noticed that Amarr and Caldari ships tend to have high shields and low attack values. Having access to a ship with reversed stats opens up some interesting options for them but are those options worth the drawback of Bounty 2?
It's not obvious which race can make best use of the Guristas Aggravator or it's sister ships (each pirate faction has one ship like this). I'm sure the designer intended it that way...

Re:Question on Racial Affinity - 2007/09/04 23:57That's the answer I 100% expected to receive, as that's how all the other cards work and is probably the intended functionality and is the simplest rules wise.
The only reason I asked was because the rules on racial affinity don't mention the controller, only that an ability is only available to certain races. I guess it comes down to who "plays" the bounty ability.
From a purely storyline driven point of view I like the second option better, the Amarr & Caldari are offering a bounty on this guy, Minmatar and Gallente can't collect. It might also make for some interesting decisions regardless of race.
