Re:Promo Card - 2007/09/13 02:29I dunno... I can see that Megathron working well with Mastermind. It's got the highest stats of anything in the game, and the reflection ability means that barring some general "Kill a ship" ability, it'd take most (if not all) of your opponent's fleet with it.

Re:Promo Card - 2007/09/14 00:20Yeah, but then the question with mastermind becomes....if I've got 17isk worth of ships in play, why bother with the mastermind and super Megathron, I'll just win with those ships.
I really want these promos for novelty's sake, but to be honest I would never consider owning them to be unbalanced...since to be fair, they're kinda nothing special compared to cheaper existing cards.
Although it would be funny to win a game with 34isk and a lonetrek.

Re:Promo Card - 2007/12/08 04:48Yeah, a buddy of mine and I both played in an Eve Exiled booster draft (one starter, 3 boosters)... everyone who played in the draft got a Venere's Megathron. It is an awesome card, but several questions have arisen...
When Venere's Megathron is dealt damage, you may have it deal equal damage to a ship of your choice in this region.
First, during result step, is all damage done as separate packets or as one big package? If it is done as one big, then the Megathron would seem to activate once... (dealt damage once, reflect damage once). If on the other hand, each ship does its damage separately, then the Megathron should activate for each ship that targeted it.
Second, at the beginning of withdraw... when Ambush activates, does the Megathron reflect damage from each individual ambushing ship? or does it activate once for receiving damage in the step?
