Question on Staying Logged-In - 2007/09/15 17:53 I want to stay logged in on two computers (home and laptop) but it seems that whenever I log in on one, it turns off the "stay logged in" option on the other one. It's driving me nuts, why is it set up that way???? -Ryuteki, Owner of the Rules!

Re:Question on Staying Logged-In - 2007/09/15 18:21 Its how the forum software works. When you click the remember me button, or stay logged in, forget what it is, the software registers your IP. When you log into the same computer with it the software knows your computer and clicks you though. When you log into a different computer it see the IP is different and makes you log in.

Its a very different way to do forum security. Normally it just makes a cookie to log you in, but this way no one can access that cookie and use your account.

Ah well. Vaguely annoying but I'll get over it.

Hey, random second question: Do I ever get to progress from Battlecruiser to Battleship, or is that last training block going to forever taunt me? I noted that I'd broken 600 posts (gods, I talk too much don't I?) and was still 'training' for my next advance.
