Re:SCC Global Market - 2007/09/24 04:10Several, most of which involve surviving just long enough to get the needed ISK... then blowing a small Kamikaze ship against the other guy's starbase. The problem is getting that much money- it's really a job for a Gallente mining deck on steroids, and many of those ships simply don't help keep you alive long enough.
Consider Insurance Fraud. Under the proper conditions, it can really make some money for you. Then, toss a breacher downrange. Don't forget to include "silver bullets' like Gravity Storm to deal with inconvenient things like EMP Minefield.

Re:SCC Global Market - 2007/09/24 12:37If you're thinking about an ISK-fuelled Starbase Killing Machine then it might be better to consider the Arbitrator... usually it costs about 20% of what SCC Global Market would for the same result.============================ "There is always Hope...." - Elessar Telcontar ============================

Re:SCC Global Market - 2007/09/24 14:06yes, but the arbitrator has to warp into a region and stay there until the results step. SCC just says thank's for playing, but I win.
It's the whole alternate win situation. Of course you've got to be careful your opponent doesn't stop you warping in and then use your own win scenario on you, but then that's why the card is worded like it is.

Re:SCC Global Market - 2007/09/24 15:24I'm fond of the Arbitrator + Armageddon personally, but the Guardian does just as well as the Armageddon for delivering the payload. Adds the complexity of a combo, of course, but by the time you've set something up to make enough money to pull off either, one more card isn't such a big deal.
I do think Amarr is the best bet for either of these approaches. Mining is about the only serious option for making that much ISK reliably, and the Sigil + Bestower pair is a good way to make sure you get everything you need. Dam Torsad was ideal for setting up Arkanor, but with Tairei added to the mix you can get the Arkanor you need, plus a good defensive character that will slow things down enough to let your mining get going.
