Top/Bottom Exiled faction - 2007/09/27 11:06As The Exiled has been out for a while now I was wondering which faction people feel came out on top. From looking at my own cards and others online it does not look like there is an absolute clear winner.
If I was going to say which one faction I think has done the best I would go for Amarr. They have gotten some good ships, interesting characters and news. I feel that they have gotten an edge on the opposition especially with Bastion of Blood ability. That really makes Patrol work.
The Minmatar I feel have slipped the most. There is not really anything I feel in the set that has made them that much deadlier overall. They've gotten some good ships and characters but nothing to give their blitz decks a boost while the other factions now have a way of shutting down blitz decks with the new starbases. We shall seed the stars with our scions and reap that harvest.

Re:Top/Bottom Exiled faction - 2007/09/27 17:41Frankly, my first thought was to disagree with you- thinking about all the nifty toys Caldari got (they're big on nifty tricks... also got some wonderful card-discarders) or Gallente's latest resource-deniers (Unrest can be really, really unpleasant. So can Problem Solver).
Then I remembered everything Amarr got. Mastermind, Blood Diviner, the no-assembly Horde that my own current efforts are based around... Bastion of Blood, like you said, makes Patrol rock. All sorts of neat stuff, plus they continue to get access to every anti-news card in existance. Who knew that theocratic imperialists would be so good at media manipulation?
I have to agree that Minmatar missed out a little. They still got some good stuff, though- a little extra burn, the really-rather-nifty Angel Outlaw, etc. I do hope they get more and differnent cards in the next expansion, though.
