Just bought my first starter and... - 2007/12/14 10:42Hello all!! Recently I bought Eve: The Second Genesis. The Day Of Darkness starter and 3 boosters and I wanted to say I`m very fond of it. The first thing I like are two decks in one pack. The second thing is that I like the game mechanics and card arts. I`m playing card games for about 9 years now and I have to say that EVE CCG is the second game that I played for 5 hours straight I have several friends with whom I can play card games. We played Doom Trooper, MtG, WoW TCG and several others. We played Doom Trooper for 4 years. MtG died in vains because we hated it, WoW TCG has nice arts but it`s too stupid to play About EVE CCG: - Flash tutorial - Game mechanics - Arts I have to say that Eve CCG is a game that I can teach others in about 30 mins and they know how to play at the end of theirs first duel (my friend won in 9 turns in our second duel). Eve is also quite addicting. Some of my old Doom Trooper friends, who hated MtG and WoW, want to play now. They even think about buying their own decks I found this card in my first booster:
I got 2 questions: When will be released the next expansion?? Are there going to be any playmats??

There's a playmat available on the site here. To answer your other question, the first expansion has already been released, it's called "The Exiled" and introduces Pirate Factions and their ships (each Pirate Faction is linked to one of the four races like Amarr and Minmatar etc) The key points about the Exiled set is that it introduces new ship commands and abilities, but the main change to how you normally play the game is brought about by the new Upgraded Starbases. These require you to be in control of at least 2 Outer Regions before you are allowed to attack your opponent's starbase! It means that it is more difficult to crush your opponent with a 'rush' deck, and this means that the overall pace of the game is a lot more drawn out and protracted. With this new emphasis on playing and controlling Outer Regions, there are a lot of features in the new expansion that focus on this aspect... most notably the new Exiled ability (which is what gives the expansion its name)

Re:Just bought my first starter and... - 2007/12/17 22:07Welcome, If you organize a demo event at a store in your area, and request a demo kit, it has several copies of the playmat, on nice paper, so that you can show folks how to play.
Also, the Eve tournament kits ($6 - most hobby stores can order them from distributors,) have some playmats, promo posters, and other fun things for prize support.
