Improved spreadsheet of cards - 2007/12/19 04:23If anyone is interested, I can send you a file that I spent a good bit of time on editing. I made my own version knock-off spreadsheet for the cards, with the more relevant information on it.
cards are grouped on sheets by type, and sorted alphabetically. Rare and Uncommon are color coded. There is a place to record how many normal/foils you have, then all the most useful data is listed, along with card text. It is finished off with a lovely white and light yellow alternating bar format for easier reading.
If anyone wants this, let me know, I can email you a copy.

Re:Improved spreadsheet of cards - 2007/12/20 04:29hmmm... it didn't let me upload the file. Maybe they don't like office files. If I get some time, maybe I will try to put it up on my own site, so at least I could link to it.

Re:Improved spreadsheet of cards - 2007/12/25 07:38I am almost done with the project. Converted from Calc to Excel. Making some additions for calculating numbers of cards available for trade, and numbers needed. If I can figure out the VB, I would like to add a button that would hide those added fields, and change some column length.
But if that looks like it is too much for me, I will just let people do their own formating, and hand it off as is.

Re:Improved spreadsheet of cards - 2007/12/28 17:42sent to Someone named Zach today, so he can see if it is of any use. Scrapped the idea of doing autocalcs...had it basically done, but decided that it was not worth the trouble in the end.
Hope it is useful to some.
has nobody done a simple database application for managing cards? I think I saw one online, but nothing stand-alone, with reports.
hmmmm....might be an excuse to put some access to use, if nobody has done so already.
That is, if anyone would find it useful.
A palm version would be nice too....hmmm....

Re:Improved spreadsheet of cards - 2008/01/12 05:27btw, while working on it, I found a lot of errors in the database...such as many values in the wrong fields.
In the Spreadsheets most are fixed...but I found that I still missed a couple of errors in descriptions (I think it was things like truncations).
