Heheh... Lovin it!
On a serious note though, while it's all well and good Tour Pro wanting to offer up his services, it occurs to me that one potential indicator of commitment to the game and to the community would be his level of involvement so far. And 12 or so posts in 8 months isnt what i would call noteworthy. There's been loads of people who, from the outset, have given their time and effort towards making this game successful (and in this respect the Community have outshone the Company hands down - and not just of late!), but still it seems the game is dying (dead?) on its feet. While Tour Pro's CV and past successes are laudable, I sincerely doubt that one person's efforts will turn things around, when concerted, protracted efforts from loads of people have failed to deliver. I could be wrong, but unnfortunately i dont reckon i am. But hey, dont let me stop ya Tour Pro. Knock yourself out! And good luck getting to chat to "the right person". I envisage a lot of buck-passing, because I get the feeling that WW now regard this ccg in the same way you would an embarassing relative - keep them in the attic, feed them fish-heads and hope that in time everyone will forget about them!!! ============================ "There is always Hope...." - Elessar Telcontar ============================

Re:Where'd Everyone Go? - 2008/05/01 14:46I would love to disagree with the above sentiments but I have to say that it looks like EVE has come to complete stand still from WW stand point. There's nothing new and no word from the BTB. Even Warlord (which took a huge hammering from WoW) is doing better than EVE. If the game is folding then I hope they have the character to come out and say so. Hate dangling in the wind like this.We shall seed the stars with our scions and reap that harvest.

Re:Where'd Everyone Go? - 2008/05/02 06:15The reason I have been gone so long is , I had talked to some people and the talks didn't go as I hoped. I have seen Mistake after Mistake made and even the Subtle ones have been damaging , I honestly felt that there was no hope for the games sucsess and they would give up on it. Well when I came back , the boards were still here , much to my suprise and I had some messages for me. The content of the messages and the fact that the game wasn't axed just yet gives me hope. Some mistakes they made have been bad , but actually can work in my favor and show me how the company is handeling the game. There are a core of Loyal DieHard people out there and if allowed to promote this game with the proper Tools there can be a very strong base to get this game going.
Trust me there is no quick Instant fix and my plans would take a bit to get rolling but I see the diehards being rewarded.

The odd thing to me is , on the WW website there is no "EVE Forum , but a link to here. At first it gave me the impression that they were supporting it so much that they would commit endless resources to EVE , now on retrospect it feels this was thier way of hiding the game that dosn't fit thier image? With the boards "hidden" over here how are any WW people supposed to see the inaction? (This is one of the many "subtle" mistakes I feel has been made. Also I found NO Link fro the EVE online games website to here , well I did a "search" on that page and got no hits. Why would there be NO Link from EVE to EVE?Yes another mistake , even less subtle.
Now , It might feel to some like a waste of resources , but there is NOWAY I would allow these boards to go unattended , I would find a way to respond to every post (seems easy now , there aren't many It bothers me to see people with view's that may be seen as negative or to see such levels of Frustration allowed to fester.
I have seen most posts handled incorrectly on some level. Thats why I haven't been here. But now I'm with stevetheone , either axe this thing or back up what has been promised.
NO POST should should go unanswered.

Re:Where'd Everyone Go? - 2008/05/02 15:37Another not-so-subtle error, this time with the game itself: Multiplayer does not work that well. Was working on a system of rules and something interesting and engaging for a group playing EVE together to add more dynamic to the game, but put that idea on the back burner til I know there's more commitment from the company. But, assuming there will be, expect me to help in that area ^^

Well, actually Tour pro was the profit comment maker, I was just asking questions about something else. ; )
From observation, my opinion is that WW/CCP's take on the game is that it's something they can pick up, and put back down while they crushed with other work. I know that Zack posted some time ago they were pulling him into other things. I assume once he can get some air, we will hear more from him.
Not that I agree with that, as I think with just some activity from the company, the game's spread would have a chance.
One other thing I'm curious about is the staff that made the cards. Perhaps they were all CCP staff in Iceland, and are not located with Zack and the staff in Atlanta. Perhaps they were outsiders/contractors hired for that job? Or perhaps with the merger, they all work on the VTES CCG(Vampire the Eternal Struggle) and will alternate sets to work on an EVE project or something.
It'd be great if they had a developer or two who also watched the boards and made some comments-

Re:Where'd Everyone Go? - 2008/05/03 08:01The game was developed by Brokkur, Tallest and Zack. Brokkur then moved to Atlanta from Iceland to be able to work better for the CCG with WW. But with him doing board and rp games nowadays i asume that Tallest is doing something else aswell

I thought Zack came in after the WW merger? I know he worked heavily on the expansion of course.-Ryuteki, Owner of the Rules! We're playing Monday evenings in IL, see www.games-plus.com for the address or email me at ryuteki AT gmail DOT com.
