EVE tourney at Origins (June 25-29th)? - 2008/02/19 21:08Hey all, I was planning to attend Origins this year in Columbus Ohio, and know that White Wolf is normally present for the event. I'm hoping that there will be an EVE tournament, and was curious what the details might be? (Will there be a qualifier one day, and a tourney the next, etc?)
Thank you-

Re:EVE tourney at Origins (June 25-29th)? - 2008/04/17 01:17The final event submission deadline was April 4 for Origins and Mar 31 for GenCon Indy. If it ain't done now, it ain't getting done.

A quick scan of the (incomplete) events for GenCon shows a number of CCP/WW events scheduled, but no specific mention of the CCG yet.
Can't find anything on the Origins schedules yet.
Not that it makes much difference to me, they're coming nowhere near me.

Re:EVE tourney at Origins (June 25-29th)? - 2008/04/17 05:02While I likely won't be attending either (again... Damnit, 19 years I've been trying to get to GenCon ), it does make for another interesting data point in the "Guess What White Wolf's Doing With This Game!!!" contest we seem to be stuck in the middle of.
It might have been a more enjoyable contest if they'd announced it, though.

Well, I was told that those were the dates so that your event would be listed in the Catalog / Gaming listing. It's possible to request to host an event after that date, but you won't be in the catalog.
And it's certainly possible that WW/CCP already registered for an event earlier, and just haven't told us because they like surprises? Perhaps I'm too optimistic.... ; )------------------ Christian Herr Washington DC Metro Area

I guess that's certainly true, but I'd just be happy to get some folks together and play in a large event. I was just getting started last year at the GenCon event, and had only played a few times. Now that I've learned a bit more of the strategies and things, I'd really like to play in a larger event.
