It's May, so where's the new format? - 2008/05/01 13:12Sorry for stating the obvious, but since we've all been staring at the same news item for about 4 months now, i wass wondering if we're ever gonna hear anything about how the league went, who won it, what exactly is this new format, is it all a load of clap-trap??
Personally, i think it was purely a stalling tactic - something that would give the impression that things were still on-going, while in fact WW were sitting on their arses hoping that EtSG would just fade away.
Taking it further, i dont reckon that the league actually took place at all. What's with all the registered players with Glicko scores other than 1500 and 'real name' handles? It looks totally suspect. And if it isnt THEN WHY HAVENT WE HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT IT??? If CCP were running this i would put it down to the fact supposition that everyone must hibernate until June in Iceland, but i dont think that crazy notion stands up in Atlanta. And im sorry for being far-fetched, but since we've exhausted all the plausible excuses, all im left with is crazy notions

One can always play casual with friends, and chat with the people that are active on the forums. It's not like it's actually painful to wait. I'll tell you what's painful to wait- waiting another 4 years for a president you know is going to F up the country even more than his last term to finally get out of office.

Um, what do you mean? (Speaking as a person with a real name handle and a non 1500 Glicko score.)
Of course, my Glicko score: 1381, has gone down....
The Glicko scores have been updated for all the past tournaments in 2007 and before, so if you registered your handle, and play in world championships, etc, then your score should have changed.
However, none of the scores for the 2008 league have been posted, that I can tell. I assume they are in a stack waiting to be processed.....

My wife and kids who often had to step back so I could accomplish my goals. I now announce that in the hieght of my forum carrer, I'm going to step back and let the youth take over my place. I will of course still be around for council and guidance for those at the start of theri forum careers.
