The first topic of discussion about this deck would obviously be: Who in their right mind doesn't play a full set of 4 Atrons?? Tallest Content Manager and Super Administrator (SUPER Administrator!!!) EVE: The Second Genesis

Well, remember I had 5 in before the tourney
I had a last minute play with the deck and dropped one. On reflection, I wouldve dropped the Tempests but I expected more shield-heavy decks than there were.
Its changed a fair amount now, though, tbh. Roll on the next tourney!

Re:Ian O'Brien, 2. place EVE Fan Fest - 2006/11/14 20:22First off, congrats for doing so well at FanFest. I am glad to see that your build did so well, as I have a near-duplicate version that I've been running and planned on taking to SoCal. If you don't mind, I would like to ask why the Atron over the Kestrel? Ambush 4 is sooooo tasty. Thanks, and once again props on your success!Minmatar Vigilante

3 shield is so uber compared to 2 that it's ridiculous. This means that Kestrels aren't an attacking ship, and this deck is very, very aggressive. All I said all weekend was "omg, Atrons rule". As I say, I should've played four.

I sideboarded it out most games. It was there as a scare tactic. However, I did use it a couple of times in the finals to great effect, and I've used it a lot in playtesting and it's a lot better a card than it appears to be. You just have to be very aware of it's drawbacks and play around it a lot. IE, don't ever play it if you have an X or 0 cost card in your hand, and don't target anything that you can't guarantee killing.
