Regarding Guardian, does the second paragraph (All other damage dealt to Guardian by ships is prevented) indicate that it cannot be damaged by ships directly, ever?

Yes, the Guardian is nigh invulnerable. It doesn't take any damage at all from ships, except the damage you choose to redirect to it. Damage dealt by cards other than ships is treated normally.

Ugh, ignore that. Seems the invulnerable part is a separate ability. Also, having two of them would just bounce the damage back and forth between them, in an admittedly interesting fashion. I need to get to bed...

This is an "Executed Ability" though, and it requires a target, in this case a friendly ship in the same region. Without a valid target, it can't activate the ability, and is thus vulnerable, much like the Oneiros. Tag teaming two Guardians though, that could get ugly.

So in theory you put one Guardian in you base and you can't loose.

I believe that a guardian can be destroyed if it was to absorb attacks from 6 ships each dealing it one damage. If this is wrong, what is the point of it having a defence of 6 shields?

also? to add on to this question... can the guardian prevent the damage to its self? and what if there are 2 gaurdians in this region? can one gaurdian prevent the damage to the other gaurdian in this system and they both become invulnerable? how could the region then be capured?

so at the end of battle is the gaurdian was on gaurd in this region it prevented the damage in and is now invulnerable does that means that a player cannot capture this region as long as I have my guardian prevent that one damage to a ship?
